At Delta Heat Services, we collaborate with various parties to carry out exciting projects, including one in which we developed a special setup for heating train rails. The rails are heated to apply a coating. This coating provides extra protection against corrosion and contributes to a longer rail lifespan. A 35KW induction unit powers the induction cable, heating the rails as they move smoothly through the mold. Proper placement of the induction cable ensures even heating of the rails.
We control and monitor the temperature with a type K thermocouple, specifically designed for moving objects. The travel-detection wheel provides additional safety when the automated line stops.
Our setup is integrated into a fully automated 320-meter coating line. Other components of this line include blasting, coating, and quality control of the treated rails.
